Finding Inspiration From One Another
Writing is a lonely profession, one on one with the computer we seek out all sorts of ways to contact like minded writers for support, for ideas and motivation and to confirm that we are not alone, that in fact millions of people are putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard in their journey as writers.
Blogs are a powerful source of information for both beginners and professional writers, they offer support, ideas and inspiration for writers at all levels. After all we as writers are usually big readers too, even the professionals hit a road block or two along the way and reading another writer’s blog may be all they need to keep their pen moving along the page.
Our families and non-writer friends don’t always understand what we are doing, they fail to realise that this is our dream, our job, our way of life, and even though sometimes it appears as if we are having a wonderful time, we are still working whether it’s in the comfort of our own home under the duvet with a warm cup of tea or on the train with our notepad and pen in hand.
The next time you’re feeling lonely in front of the computer, trying to finish a project and need some inspiration, find some interesting blogs to read by other writers, check out their thoughts and feelings, their successes and lessons learnt and your writing will certainly head in the right direction.
